Meanwhile, while I was looking I think I found one of mine. I thought this was a Wolf Spider, but it isn't!
I think this is Crowned Pisaurid Rothus purpurissatus, what do you think guys? The tuft of hair between the eyes is the giveaway!

Stealthy Ground Spiders. Wandering spiders. Flat-bellied ground spiders
Gnaphosidae possibly Micaria sp.
Micaria sociabilis ( found in Europe and Russia - very similar looking)
http://eol.org/data_objects/5815445
Micaria species found in SA/Namibia:
Micaria beaufortia (Tucker, 1923) — South Africa
Micaria tersissima Simon, 1910 — Namibia
I can't find a pic of these two to compare.
I really know nothing about spider IDs, just matched the colors up to pictures
Toko, I think we need to run some double-bluffs hereExFmem wrote:DISCLAIMER: You need to treat my spider IDs as I do my SO's "help" with decorating. If I ask him if he likes something, and he says "Yes", I know I need to go in another direction.![]()
