Probably not accustomed to the kind of camper; it is very high and very heavy

Re: Accident near Punda
This was posted on FB yesterday by another tourist:
Mark Roxburgh: I continued towards the H13-1 intersection and took the right turn to the Mahonie Loop road. A pleasure to drive as the rain had settled the dust! Not one kilometer onto the road I saw a vehicle ahead and something didn't look quite right. As it came fully into view I saw that it was a small camper-van and it was on its side. I stopped and ran to it to check that there was no-one inside it still. It was all quiet so I called the emergency number and reported it. It turns out they lost control yesterday evening and rolled it - the mind boggles though as the road is pretty much straight and there was no evidence of any violent maneuvers from the tyre tracks in the sand. At least no one was injured except maybe pride.

I hope for them that they have an insurance that covers all
Coming from Australia and having your holiday ruined for a thing like that, must be depressing
