Michele no sorry as the 20d does not have that function, But it is something that I would really like to try and will have a go at it this December in the Kgalagadi when we are at Rooiputs and Polentswa

Do Star Trails fall under Time-lapse photography? I tried it once and it was a disaster!

One can do a Star-trail time-lapse Flutterby. It involves taken 100's of photos over a couple of hours and putting them into a video which then portrays the time lapse. Easy in theory but a bit more difficult in practise......
Thx for link PRWIN...and good luck when at Polentswa and Rooiputs. I may try something at Urikaruus next month.....:)

OK, then what I did wasn't Time-lapse...I just left the shutter open for a really long time...all I got was black!! -O

Again a star trail is easy in theory but not so easy in practise...:)

flutterby you must bump your ISO way up and then play with the f- stop and time , doing this you should get a idea where you going. A good sight to check is 500px under landscape as they normally give the settings as well, Also you must look directly South to get the spin
