I believe these were taken on the approach to Urikarus, where the steep climb to the dunetop starts, coming from the south. The wall is an excellent homesite for them to dig their tunnel.
The settings were: (Flying INTO the nest: 1/1000 @ f 7.1, 85mm ISO 400); (Flying OUT: 1/1600 @ f 5.6 150mm ISO 400)
This one's not flying, but is part of that series: (1/1600 @ f6.3 190mm ISO 400)
I also have some photos of a pair digging their nest together, but will have to search for them. They are quite fascinating to sit and watch aren't they?
