(not sure why that notation is there -O- )
There was a bracket missing ;-)

The red-headed finch tree and the dove tree are marvellous ^Q^ ^Q^

Is the lanner falcon better at catching doves than the jackal -O-

What a strange eye the green lacewing has; it looks like a kaleidoscope. Also, the form of the head is strange.

The photos are awesome, though \O

Sis - Is the lanner falcon better at catching doves than the jackal -O-
I don't really know, but it does seem to me, in my limited experience, the lanner is successful more often. -O-

RP and Pumbaa thank you, as always. O0

And a few odds 'n ends...

This was a rather sad sighting. Two very skinny, worn down male lions were making the long trek to the waterhole. The animals have such harsh conditions to contend with during the rainless times. :-(

Image

After the first one passed us, we started to move forward, but the deep sand had a different plan for us. We were stuck. After the second one passed, the people behind us helped dig us out, which was very thoughtful, as they could have just gone around to stay up with the lions.
Even tho' the lions were still quite close, they didn't seem to be much of a threat in their poor condition. I don't know if they passed away, or were lucky enough to survive. Maybe someone who reads the Forum can provide more info.

As we were packing up to move to MataMata, we saw a thief stealing from our neighbor's property...

Lots of wonderful birds O/\ O/\

The squirrels are mischievous little brats lol [Luv]

Poor lions! Surviving in such an extreme environment isn't easy :-(

You got stuck  You gave too much space to the lions ;-) Luckily, there are still friendly people around \O

A striped Kingfisher  ^Q^ ^Q^

Only one chapter left😟
