As you all know I am quite an avid birder and really do enjoy the challenge of photographing them.
My bird count in February was quite low compared to previous summer trips but I did however have some lovely sightings. Here are a few bird photos that I took during the first six days of our trip. We were camping at Twee Rivieren and we had managed to get a spot up on the "hill" which used to be the non-powered campsites.
The park was crawling with Lanner Falcons..especially juveniles . We saw this inquisitive one on the first game drive of our trip...
The butterflies often got in the way...
This young Lanner in particular was full of his own importance and was not at all perturbed by our presence.
