‼️Wednesday 25 January 2023 7:20
From the SanParks FB page
Social Media Alert ⚠️
The R40 road has been blocked by protesters between Acornhoek and Bushbuckridge. Guests traveling between Orpen and Hazyview should use alternative routes preferably travel inside the park.
Orpen Road and Gate will both be affected. Alternatives are Paul Kruger, or Phalaborwa Gate in the north.‼️

Please continue to avoid the R40 between Bushbuckridge and Acornhoek as there are continuous disruptions on that stretch of the road ( a truck crashed last night due to oil being poured on the road). This is currently not a safe route.
The Orpen road and gate remain accessible from the Hoedspruit side.
The Paul Kruger and Phabeni Gates remain accessible further south.
