A great selection, Sparky!
Very brown already at Marloth too.
The giraffe looks as though it is standing on the wall!

Re: Grietjie Private Reserve
Thank you to all of you again!
Today I will only be posting bird pics, mainly Vultures. The reason for this is that a female Kudu died next to the house, apparently due to a disease of sorts, and this had hundreds of Vultures around the house for a few days.
On Friday evening I got this Fiery-necked Nightjar in the road (no flash used, just car headlights and ISO bumped up to 25600)...
Yesterday morning, apart from Vultures, there was an abundance of other bird life, here is a Puffback...
Now for the Vultures. The first one to arrive was this White-headed...
Next to arrive were the Hooded Vultures...
More Vultures and another raptor next...

Re: Grietjie Private Reserve
Yesterday there were more Vultures here than what I can recall seeing together before. Loads at the carcass and others like these waiting their turn in the trees around the house...
Even a Tawny Eagle grabbed a piece of carrion and ate it up in the tree. It's great to see these birds at eye level from the kitchen window...
Early this morning, at sunrise, the Vultures were back...
By 08h00 this was all that was left of the carcass and all the Vultures started leaving...
Until next time...
