Yip, that Hippo kept me alert.
A few pics now from the week.
Last Saturday was non-stop traffic at the house. The Hippo was early, after that was loads of plains game and in the evening a Genet.
Here are some of the arrivals...
A herd of Kudu also popped in, here is one of the bulls...
Waterbuck as well...
Last night I wanted to get pics of the full moon rising, but the was cloud cover on the horizon. I had to wait until it was above the cloud bank, by then the red hue was gone...
More soon...

Re: Grietjie Private Reserve
Now a few pics from earlier today.
Strange how these guys are seen a lot more, now that the Woodlands have headed north...
A very busy Bearded Woodpecker...
Another huge croc in relax mode...
Kudu risking it to drink close to the croc...
If the weather plays along, I'll be on drive tomorrow...

Re: Grietjie Private Reserve

First up today, Klippies' Watermelon on it's way down, above sunlit klippies...
A Steenbok that was close to the road and strangely, not concerned about me being there...
A couple of Zebra having fun...
An LBR lifting off...
More in a short while...

Re: Grietjie Private Reserve
A few more from my drive this morning.
A Grey Go-away-bird going away...
A Fish Eagle on the wing, looking for fish...
A Yellow-billed Hornbill feasting on termites...
The Warthogs at the house normally move off a bit when I drive in, but thee two were too busy to move when I got home...
I am back at work at the moment, so until next time from the banks of the Olifants...
