I'm trying to work out how many accidents are caused by sightings apps. :-?

I don't think that the Sightings App causes serious accidents, only a lot of traffic jams and most likely also speeding, but not the kind that result in accidents.

Sightings Apps dont cause accidents per se ..They just ruin the experience for others by speeding past, Hogging sightings , Road Rage causing , They are not necessary period

Agreed - no need for RP to do any more work X#X

There are a surprisingly large number of incidents where vehicles have rolled or left the road. Lack of concentration alone can't account for this as at low speeds a driver should often be able to correct before there is a serious accident. Minor damage would go largely unreported. It would be very interesting to get some input from the car hire companies. They will have records of all scratches and bumps!

Those numbers would be mostly from foreigners' cars and I am convinced that most of them have never heard about "latest Sightings" ;-)

I think it is more interesting how few accidents are actually caused by tourists after all. ;-)
