Ok, the start of a new year and I am sort of settled in.

On the 4th I took a drive to fetch the landscape engineer at the gate, on the way there I noticed the local police department officials moving in...

On the 6th, I sat drinking my early coffee on the stoep, watching these two Giraffe having a go at each other for over two hours. Unfortunately, they always stayed behind trees and bushes, so I couldn't get a clear shot of them. It's unreal to hear the sound they make when they hit each other...

Later they stopped the fight and joined a few more, totaly at peace...

Later during the day, the temperature headed into the red again. The feathered ones took full advantage of the bird baths...
