This nice fixture on the new Samoosa....guided reverse lanes on the console!

We reached the intersection with the tar highway at the Sabie River, and this time found the way to Nkuhlu picnic spot, by turning left!
Last year we turned right...
Elephant!

It was very hot indeed! At the picnic spot...dunno what message this sends, but would have done the same!

The place is fine, only small monkey battles, diehards, and no baboons!

The world according to Borderline...but he had his AW shirt on!

It was hot, hence the gravitation towards the shade....pity so many trees lost to floods over the years!

Horrible to see the hippos suffering like that.
But the park is starting to look nice and green.

A very pleasant spot, if baboon-free!

GB had made his own Prego steaks for some garbled reason, but they were fine! He really is very good!
Toko adores him...sorry, only pic, Toks!

At the high-water bridge, the flood was subsiding:

But lots of new silt...river seems to stick to Western side now?

Very jolly in the car, with aircon blasting away!

Our one rhino!

And a pleasant surprise on the S1, near its junction with Kruger Gate road:

Goldenboy has had an almost unbroken streak with wild dogs over the last few years...rather nonchalant, but that is why he gets invited!

It was hot, as said...

13 doggies in total, one late arrival!

Storm clouds were gathering....

Not much rain, though....

It did drip a bit from Phabeni to Nellies!

What a lovely day, much-needed by all of us teachers!
End of this business trip!
