That is exactly my plan , though with binoculars , not golf clubs !!!

I regularly walk on the local course - saw goliath heron yesterday afternoon .

 'k so like I am just too lazy to read all the gumpf and do a search.

Do they still have a well stocked aviary at Manyane camp? It was a large walk in one I remember. Is it still there and is it still so well stocked?

It was still there 3 years ago BH, some birds in there, but not that many.

The vulture restaurant seems to have stopped though. I was disappointed at not being able to see that.

Thanks Dewi. I never knew they had a vulture restaurant. I know they had one at the Rhino park in the Cradle.

Are all the 'hides still there and in reasonable condition?

The Gary Player CC course was a great place to walk , many good bird sightings , bushveld trees . I did not see a single golfer in more than 8 hours - seems it is closed to golfers in preparation for the big tournament next month , the hospitality suites are up , scaffolding for TV cameras all over . The g/course is in good condition , well watered , though the Pilanesberg area is very dry .

Does anyone have any feedback with regard to Pilanesberg Centre. When we were there in October it was closed and we were advised it would re-open in November.

Hi Richard (STF)

A friend of mine is in the Reserve from today to Monday. She has promised proper feed back on Pilanesberg centre. I will give feed back on Tuesday. Another colleague was there last weekend and he said that the parking lot were full of cars.
By the way, they were on their way back to Manyane Camp late this afternoon via Mankwe way when a lioness and 2 cubs crossed the road in front of them :-) :-)
