What had happened to your booking, Alf... Like in: how come you had a booking for a month earlier than you thought?
And what happened at the gate with the park being full? Did you have to turn around and go back home? Or did you go elsewhere?
Questions, questions, questions... Sorry, if I sound nosy, but I'm more shocked at the idea of something like this happening. O-/

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

Mel at the gate i opened my laptop and checked my mail to see what date I've asked for. It was a trip won by the SP raffle where they asked for donations to get equipment for the field rangers.

I have won 2nd price which was actually a game capture weekend and we would have stayed at the research camp outside Skukuza, but SO were pregnant a few months and they said we can just stay at the camp and the lady making the booking got the dates wrong.

We ended up staying in the directors guest house inside the staff village because that was the only place available over the weekend.

The following is not pretty...have never had this before or since in around 250 Kruger visits...

But one lives and learns? -O-

Precious couldn't help us despite her brilliant composure, a real credit to Kruger, IMO! O0

And we left her in peace! :ty:

So we left, with a jealous look at the camp for old times' sake... :-(

By now things were pumping...too much adrenaline and mineral water...some music cd's came out, which will be indelibly etched into memory...at least we had booked a nice dormitory room back in Phala, so ok...(More money from RP... 0*\ )

Radio: "You're the baddest b%tc& in this tooown"

Image

RP: "Ah...Frewells, now that I think about it...look out for kudu at this time of the evening...they jump into the road for no reason.... -O- "

This is true, BTW...that is why kudu are on the road signs!

Lovely sunset as we approach Phala! ^Q^

Fr: "This is all so magiiiic!"

Not the best driving...but we had had a long day! @#$

Some buffs closer to the gate:

Cellphone: "You have 10 new messages"

RP: "Hello!"

Cellphone: "You can't say hello....you must listen to the messages.... :O^ "

RP: "Oh, ja! :o0ps: "

Precious: "We have a unit available, please call!"
