Help with itinerary flow
Re: Help with itinerary flow
One more thing-
The only return ff flights are one day later than my planned return.I have all my bookings in place so don't want to rearrange everything. I will be leaving from Thula Thula so need advice for what to do for another day
My flight from JNB to home leaves at 2230 so I have about a day and a half to explore
Any suggestions for a place to stop at between Thula Thula and Durban?

Mkuze is well worth a visit...the hides are fantastic with constant comings and goings.
Enseleni is apparently great for a day visit...a birder's paradise.

Thanks Flutterby!
Looks promising. It is going away from where we will actually end up(Durban airport) but according to google maps it's only a couple of hours from Thula Thula and 4 hours from the airport which is doable considering our late flight to the states
Where can we pick up supplies? Is the town of Hluhluwe on the way there or is there another town ?

Didn't realise Mkuze was so far from Thula Thula!
Enseleni is much closer so maybe you could find accommodation in Richards Bay for one night?
Perhaps some other members will have better ideas for something closer to Richards Bay/

Re: Help with itinerary flow
I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had an absolutely fantastic time in the area
Ended up spending 3 nights in St Lucia,3 nights in iMfolozi and 3 nights Thula Thula
Three different types of experiences, three types of wonderfull
Loved, loved, loved Mpila camp.Amazed at how much better they did things(except for the roads) than Kruger.
Because of the lack of rain, sightings were sporadic but when you did-Wow.
No traffic jams.Had two sightings of wild dog and in one we were the only car,in the other there was only a few of us
And of course hot and cold running rhinos
After talking to people about the area found out much more there is to see, will definitely return to the area
Thanks again for all your help
