That would cost my little family R22,500 and I just can not afford that. Add the cost of traveling to SA for overseas people and tell me if that's good value for money. -O-
Rumruti, from the SP forum is in that line of business and when the word cam out at first the tourists were very happy, but the happiness declined so quickly when prices etc came out that there is hardly any requests for it anymore.

In my opinion it is a dead Goose.

That's what I wonder about as well, Lis. I read some comments on accomm in KTP on Trip Advisor
not too long ago. And those I found quite alarming because lots of the people reviewing the
camps were kind of disappointed that the accomm is rather basic (I reckon, the wilderness
camps are absolute luxury!) Then I ask myself if they are prepared to dish out more money
to get a supposingly nicer place to stay. -O-

Ah, iNdy basically gave the answer to that. ;-)

Oops, sorry, :o0ps: I just realized it was Penga. \O

We do not know what the prices of the hotels will be if sold in bulk to tour Operators :-? Remember who is going to run at least the Malelane Hotel!

So again we are back to the point that these hotels are for rich "western noses" instead of the "black diamonds" as advertised by Mabunda and Sanparks!!!

I think we should wait for absolute confirmation of whether the PDZ has actually been approved or not, and that should take a few days. SanParks and V&L have already denied this!

Maybe the above discussions belong under the "Hotels" thread? :-? Done!Lis

As you may know, I contacted Projek Aardwolf a year ago to ask them to look into this matter. They will seemingly look into this matter next weekend.

I think that is the program Gerhard Smit referred to:
It has just been confirmed that the Aardwolf shoot about the KNP hotels will be screened on the Kyknet channel (channel 111) on 8 July 2012 at 20:00. this will also be the last of the current series.
