Too quiet here.... what happened ? 0/* 0/* 0/*

Years ago, in 2009, I received pictures of Shashanga (region north of kruger np) by two forumites here (nan and rumuruti). I added him as tusker but never received pictures of him anymore...... till today, august 31st 2014.... about 5 years later.

Really exiting news he is still alive and his only tusk is now really impressive. Love to share some pics of him (photographed by W Knoetze)

Hi Aat and Willie, great to see those tuskers !

Shashanga in particular has grown a really fantastic tusk - makes me daydream of what he could have looked like with both tusks at that size. . . . .

Btw, another of the Tembe big ones have died - see the September edition of Magnum magazine.
( 143 pounds a side - THAT's some tusker ! )

Any one know what he was called ?

Gerrie.

That Shashanga is huge!

Don't worry, aat...a number of Greenies will be in the Park shortly, or are compiling reports?

harrys,
This is one of the tusker named by STE (Save the Elephants org).
I just got another few pics of a collared bull have good contacts with STE. I also have a kind of agreement with them to share info about collared elephants to keep them up-to-date about the bulls and cows they have collared and they confirm me with the right name.

If you have a few minutes and can send me this or some pics of him I can try to get the right name
