Hmmmm....You are very very welcome at any time Whether in summer or in winter , does not matter . Always ready to share a bottle of wine with good company
Of course , we do have Swiss / Italo restaurants in Cape Town , but then , what would be the point if not to enjoy local cuisine

Re: When spring arrives in the Western Cape
Being quite busy lately , and so neglected this thread Also , had quite a bit of bad Cape weather , and therefore could not really get out much .
Anyway , with yesterday being 1st September , and " official " start of Spring , let's carry on
Keep in mind that August is still fairly cool here , and we can expect still a lot of rain , there are still signs around that all is not yet ready for the new season .
Apples in the Koue Bokkeveld ( about 60 kilometres north of Ceres ) , small yellow flowers in the orchard , but fruit trees not yet blossoming :
Whilst peaches and apricots have already into full bloom

1st september isn't really spring, as 1st september isn't really autumn We had 27° this afternoon Both of them will arrive though, only a question of time

Yeaahhh - actually , 1st September is only a date so that we can keep track of where we are in time
The honeybees of course , knows that it is "that time of year " again , and they are out collecting nectar and pollen
