A wonderful mamba sighting and a half collared kingfisher and here we were enjoying the antics of the little grebe. We were hoping to get at least one decent close up shot of some of the kingfishers and this guy obliged O/\ O/\ O/\

The pied kingfishers left too. They were not fishing today. We turned our attention to the little grebe. No frog in sight. Wonder if it had eaten the frog. It was quiet again. We packed up and on the way out saw a giraffe with a tiny little giraffe, yellow billed hornbill, juvenile fish eagle and a kudu run across the road. A successful trip :-)

Loskop Dam Nature Reserve is definitely worth a second visit and is only two hours from where we live. The Finfoot has been seen from the Lily Pond Hide and I think the hide will be magic in Summer ;-)
