The first pic had me thinking it was an insect w/ a pointed snout , then I realized its head was under the wood plank
Don't the forelegs and triangular head shape in the second pic look like a mantid?

I think you are right... a Mantid with the "teeth" on the paw
I never thought of that

Toko, I now see on the next page or so you already drew that same conclusion I'm trying to whittle down the unknowns before I add even more to the list...

Cilnia chopardi looks the same to me But all the pics on the internet show a white stripe on the abdomen in Cilnia

Who knows how many other genera also look like this

This is all I have, but need a second window open with mantid anatomy terms so I can even begin to understand 0.1% of the features. As you well know, we really can't see very much on these particular photos.
