We have been watching this dove sitting on her eggs for around a week now and yesterday darn vervets pulled in and chowed her eggs. They may have killed her also as there are feathers all over.

Sorry, vervets aren’t my favourite and they terrorize houses in the Toti area stealing whatever they can.

What a pity, looks like you had the perfect vantage point to watch the chicks grow up!

Vervets aren't my favourite either, they are out of control in some KNP camps like Balule.

The resident Egyptian Geese produced eight chicks around the beginning of December. They are diligent parents as all eight of them have survived despite the many feral cats on the property. I remembered to take my camera a couple of weeks ago.
