I must agree but they must be kept really busy by the state of the roads, when we were at Nossob, the roads broke the axle of a offroad trailer

I was really surprised that my that my 20+ year old Karet with tiny little wheels made it through the trip without falling apart, the road from Kamqua to Mata Mata was terrible and the roads around Nossob were just as bad (more about that later).

You had some great bird sightings and the colours in your pics are lovely!! ^Q^ ^Q^
You can say that again!

Thanks Flutts, most of the colour is just the sublime quality of the light in the KTP but a tiny bit of mid-tone and highlight correction makes the colours that little bit warmer.

Day 2, Tuesday June 4, Mata Mata. Morning Drive Part 1.

It was pretty chilly around dawn with a temperature of -2C according to car but it warmed up during the day and it was shorts weather in the afternoon.

We had an awesome day today, no disasters, some interesting sightings and some great photo opportunities which netted loads of pictures that I want to share with you.

We started off with Brindled Gnus

Oryx in the dunes

and some Springboks

To Be Continued.....
