After the breakfast we decided to close our eyes and drive the N1 highway towards Nkuhlu picnic area.

What a nightmare.........

So many cars flying past you.........

If you stop to check if you have seen something, it's a traffic jam within 30 seconds O-/

We tried to drive all the little loops where we didn't encounter even one car O/\ O\/

On one of the loops we had this traffic official blocking the road

Image

The rest of the roads were quiet regarding sightings

We stopped at Nkuhlu and the one bathroom were still closed.

If I remember correctly it was also closed the previous time we have stopped there :-?

Only one bathroom block open so everyone went there and we struggled to get parking.......

On our way back we saw some approaching cars standing still, we stopped and searched but didn't see anything......

After about a minute we realized these people were watching a snake right in front of us crossing the road lol lol

By that time we had plenty cars behind us

Some IDIOT in his Pajero were hooting because nobody moved. He eventually came past us giving us the evil eye and almost drove over the snake 0*\

We just left and when we arrived at camp decided to go for a sundowner at the restaurant to calm down. :-0

The view of the river from the deck

The little alien enjoying the view

I even got Mrs alf to pose with the two aliens --00--

Image

Sunset were upon us but we just took it easy and enjoyed our wine \O

Image

We got back to our bungalow and started the fire for our last braai of the weekend :-(

Image

RobertT tried to look busy but he was crying about the rugby score of our AW fantasy league. Alf won that weekend ^0^

Next trip to the bush??

These aliens......all of them...... are far too good looking for their own good ^Q^ ^Q^

Luckily I have never experienced that kind of traffic in Kruger 0-

If it's not a cat, it's not worth stopping. Full stop. 0' What an id...eal example of a non-starter. (0!)

Like the giraffe road block ^Q^

And I wonder: Have they done something to the deck, because it seems so much closer to the water than I remember,
or is it just the angle you took the photo from. :-?

Hello Mrs. Alien 0/* Now I know where the kids take their looks from :-) Alf ^0^ =O: ;-)

I managed to download the rest of the photos this weekend but most of them were bad quality......

Told SO she must practice more ^0^ ^0^

So why did the snake cross the road -O- -O- -O- -O- -O- -O- -O-

The grass were greener on the other side O** O** =O: =O:

--00-- No grass on the other side 0*\

Image

It looks like a black mamba but I'm not a snake expert :-0

The last morning the two little aliens wanted to do a last walk along the river. They were very sad to go home........

Compliments to the staff at Mugg & Bean because we saw them picking up papers along the fence below the deck. They told us it gets blown over the edge by the wind and every morning they clean it up

^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

Then we were all packed and left skukuza. The small little alien kept asking me: are we going home -O-

and every time I answered yes we are............

Then I get the same answer: I want to stay :-(

They really enjoy the bush \O

On our way to Pabeni gate we saw this big buffalo heard

Image

They were everywhere.

The end of another alien bush trip.............

Thank you all for joining us \O

Until next time :-(
