Based on all these comments I cannot walk away from implementing this for most of the tuskers. I will give priority to the more difficult ones and keep you updated here.

If you try to ID , be aware that distance and angle can "mislead" you. Example: picture from behind , the tusks look long(er) , frontal , tusks look shorter. With the notches and holes... if tusker is clean no problem, dirty after a mud- or dustbath you often don't see these holes and small notches. Grass-notches can cause breaking off the tip of the tusk.

One more important issue: Self ID'ing does NOT mean to NOT post the tuskers pictures here or NOT sending them. O** O** O**
