Re: Self-Drive Books
I have the Kruger one, and it is grand!
But I only read a bit at a time because I disagree with some things and get angry!

Re: Self-Drive Books
The Kruger Book is FULL OF Major Mistakes ..They obviously just printed without proof reading ..I approached them and asked them to fix their mistakes as I wanted ACCURATE Info in a book they asked me to pay R 500 for..They said they were aware of some of my proven allegations BUT I can either Live with it or return the book at the time for a refund ..Real bad Couldnt care less South African Poor Customer service ..Needless to say I Never bought the Kgalagadi version when it came out ..I hate Rip off scenarios of any persuasion. When a car manufacturer or say Canon or Nikon have a problem with a product ..they withdraw thousands at their expense and fix it ...not here its still for sale to the unsuspecting public...no skaam. Their book now gathers dust in a lonely bookcase in the house and I will probably eventually give it to the Old Age Home down the road...Its not worth R5 in my opinion

Re: Self-Drive Books
I just used the supplied Kgalagadi Map and 50 Years experience and will carry on using the normal Kruger Map Book is accurate at 10% of the price of this money making garbage
Re: Self-Drive Books
With the Kruger book, I seem to recall there were some mistakes with road numbering around P'kop.
Can't remember seeing any others.
But tbh, all these "where to see game in...... NP" are all a bit meh imo
Yes, the author finds x road brilliant. And y road a bit slow. Yadda yadda yadda.
But as we all know, you can have a slow drive on a so called "productive road".
And on the other hand a great drive on a "not so productive road".
