There was something on Facebook where they said the occupants from the vehicle were speeding to exit the gate. They probably misjudged the gravel on the road and couldn’t stop. SP said they are investigating if alcohol was involved

The four people were injured after their vehicle crashed into a pillar – allegedly speeding to exit the park before closing time.

“It is a time where people try to get out of the park. They were speeding towards the gate and there was sand on the road,” says spokesperson, Isaac Phaahla.

Phaahla says a probe is underway to determine whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

He says the park’s doctor was flown to the scene where he assessed the injured.

They were then transported to a local hospital.
