Been gone a couple days, and boy did I miss some lovely sightings
The baboon on the sign , the giraffe roadblock , the Klipspringers and Buffs in the pool are wonderful for how they also capture the environs.
Is that a second Fish Eagle in the tree I see
The flowers at Lake Panic are perfect adornments to such a relaxing spot

This is a answer I got from the other side
I’m pretty sure the “funny thingy” is a radio collar for a crocodile. They wire it into the hard scutes in his back so they can get a signal when he’s at the surface or hauled out on the bank. There is a group called Ocearch that does that with White Sharks but they use satellite tags and they bolt them to the dorsal fin so every time the shark fins on the surface the tag uploads it’s location and data to the satellite. Makes sense for animals that don’t have long, skinny necks to hang a necklace around.

A nice variety, Harry! Looks like a reptile day!
It is more of a reflection than a shadow of the waterbuck...but maybe the same thing?
