We had to concentrate a bit as one has to do some nifty navigating to go north and then east again on the sand roads to go straighter to Lower Sabie...I have got lost here before. O-/

Things were confused now by a Yuppie from the Levant and his Goth ladyfriend who flagged us down in high spirits and babbled on about wild dog somewhere ahead. He told us to turn left at the next crossing and travel for 5.5 km, and there they would be. ;-) X#X <dop>

We got to the turnoff here: As you can see it was hot. 0*\ )

However one could only go straight or right, so we assumed straight then, although I knew in the back of my mind that the fellow had his directions wrong.

A few kilometres down the blindingly hot desert road we got a huge fright! The new bakkie's GPS suddenly ordered "Turn left in 500 metres!" in a strident voice, totally out of the blue, nearly causing Gump to roll the vehicle!
The machine was broken due to an installation fault, and we thought we had shut it up back in Nelspruit already, but true's bob it would give random directions every two hours or so, and there was nothing we could do about it! 0: 0-

Anyway, we nervously turned around after 6km and went back to:

Then turned left a bit later and 5,5 km later found the doggies all by ourselves! :-0

They were lying down/dying of heat and these are the only movement pics. :o0ps:

We were quite elated and Gump was getting his LOPTB, so moved on sharply to the LS tar road and the bluegums at Sardelli!

I saw a vulture! Gump thought it was a white-headed but was wrong, which is a bit disconcerting as he knows his birds very well. O**

On the tar road we spent a long time watching this cow feeding unconcerned by our presence. they are very skillful, you know!
