Memories

Have just been going over past trips to KTP and came across camping fees from the early '80's - Only three camps, TR, MM and Nossob. They only had rangers houses, a few camp sites and rondawels and cottages, no restaurant at TR. Camping and caravans - R2.60 per day!!! Bulpin was our only travel guide, and here I quote "camps are unsophisticated, clean and pleasant, and the staff courteous". We had great times on our many visits, out of school holidays, and at one time were the only people in Nossob! Taking our little "pimple", as we called our caravan, over those roads was a real adventure! O\/
Times have changed and we have watched the progression of the years with a little dismay. Tarring the road from Upington was the start of the huge influx of tourists, which had its very good (and some bad) influences.
Who else has brilliant KTP memories? 0/*

and like you said... few people, few cars... and enough chalets at every camp, even in the tiny ones O/\

I do not mind paying if the things you "buy" are worth the money, but it rarely happens in the Sanparks
