Just few memories of my beautiful trip to Tanzania.
It will never be as rich and interesting than this one of Moggiediog and the photos have about fifteen years ... it was argentic, lot of wrong colors and it was mostly my first pictures
The departure was on the April 20, 2003 from Amsterdam, direct to Arusha. This is the second time I went to Ngorongoro, and I'll post some pictures of the year 2000 (the year I combined Massai Mara and Ngorongoro)
We had to be six on this trip, and at the last minute, the other five people withdrew ... I found myself alone ... with six bodyguards ... and tents that resemble to the Parthenon with toilet ensuite
The guide and leader: Alifa
The truck driver (logistic) Viko
The Cook : William
The two Aid: Maganga and Hosea
The Massai bodyguard: Nadala
Everything went very smoothly, they were all very caring and I think they did not have too much to do ... if not prepare delicious dishes. I really enjoyed myself during the 10 days of travel.
Nadala the Massai went even pick flowers every morning he put them in a vase on my bedside table ... but without water he has at least learned that the flowers need water

He had to ensure me day and night against the attack of any creature ... The night when Hyena came disassemble everything and steal cloth ....
Well nobody, woke up
I was scared to death, on hearing these strange noises in the middle of the night, not daring to move, sitting in the middle of my bed ... till dawn
It broke the bowl of water, stolen, linen and soap. A hyena can be recognized by its way to drink... like a dog, but that, I have only known the next day.
For one of my first nights in a tent ... and alone, I was spoiled
I loved the Ngorongoro, the difficulty is to sleep on the crater rim at 2400m, I did in 2000, but in 2003 I asked to sleep on the foothills.
We followed a family of Lions during the 4 days at the Serengeti, we met a mother cheetah with her tiny, tiny cubs and another feeding his teenagers.
