Which Vehicle would be better?

Hi All,
A bit of advice re my trip to SA in December.
I have the option of the following 2 cars:
Toyota Avanza
Daihatsu Terios
I will be using the car for 10 days in Jhb, including the 5 nights at Kruger.
The Avanza is R2,000 cheaper than the Terios.
I am not familar with either car, but from what I can gather, the Terios is a 4 x 4 and the Avanza a people carrier.
Would the Terios be better for the height?
Is the Avanza just as suitable?
Any advice welcome.

Dzombo, how many people will you be? As far as I know the Terios is quite small inside. I don't think there is too much difference in the height. If anyone else knows more and I'm talking rubbish, then just ignore this! -O

Usually 2 adults and 2 kids.
But in Pilanesburg, my 2 nieces used to come for game drives in my car too - there were 4 kids in the back.
So a bit of extra space would be good.

Dzombo, the Terios will be too small for your needs. I am not sure how big the Avanza is.

From what I can gather, the Avanza is a nice big car.
Thought that I should go for height too. But if it's as Flutts says, and there isn't much in it. I will go for the Avanza.
I have seen neither in the UK - don't think they are avialable here (I could be wrong on this btw).
Could you guys have a look out while you are out and about this weekend?

The Avanza
You can have 2 extra seats at the back if you need them.

Just to give you some more info to decide on...
A couple of years ago four of us went to Spain for a birding trip. We hired a Terios (no choice, it's what was there for us when we arrived at the hire place) and initially thought it would be unsuitable. We drove along deeply rutted sand roads in the Parque Nacional de Doñana and had no problems at all. There was plenty of room for all our luggage and scopes, tripods, cameras etc and the drive was very comfortable. At one place we wanted to get to the top of a mountain to watch Black Vultures. At the bottom of the track leading up to the summit, we all got out ready to walk up, but I reconed I could get the Terios up there, much to the amusement of the others. We all piled in and were at the summit within moments, watching Black Vultures. The drive back down was "interesting" but we made it without hitch.
I've not driven in the Toyota, so cannot comment on that one, but the Terios worked for us on this trip and surprised us all.
