The Brat and I recently spent 6 nights in Kruger after a break from the park of over 2 years. Our itinerary was 1 night Biyamiti, 1 night Skukuza, 2 nights Satara, and 2 nights Lower Sabie.
The Brat and I left Joburg at 5.30 on 18th October and arrived at Malelane gate after an uneventful drive. I have only taken about 5 days leave from work in the last two years, so I really needed a break, and it was absolute bliss to be back in the bush. This trip was all about relaxing and enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the bush. The Brat had decided that he wasn't going to take any photographs but did shoot some video, and I also didn't fuss too much but rather tried to enjoy the sightings we had without stressing about getting pics. I also realised near the end of the trip that I should have worn my glasses while taking pics, as a lot of them came out blurred!
We saw plenty of game along the H3 including buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and 1 ellie.
Dark Chanting Goshawk (I think).
The Brat spotted this lone hyena in the rearview mirror.
We turned onto the S113 to head towards the Biyamiti loop and found this big tusker.

Nothing like time in the Bush to recharge .
Can relate about the glasses -during our recent trip I also battled to get the video camera to focus ...then realized that it was focused fine it was the eyes that were not focusing to well
Cute hyena pic .

Thanks RP.
The Brat and I shared the driving in the park.
Thanks Harry.
