Gorid is an extraordinary beauty and it looks as if she knows ;-)

Gorid reminds me of Ikhayea who entertained guests for day on end. But Gorid was even more placid and her display took much longer than Ikhaya's. Very happy for you that you got to see her in that intimate way - and more than once even :-0

Saturday 15th May 2021

Our last full day in the park and on our drives from Rooiputs we had an array of different sightings
We were welcomed to an orange sunrise as we headed north in the morning

Not far out of camp this hyeana was walking down the road towards us. Pictures of the animal, with a severely damaged mouth has been posted before in other travel tales, and despite it’s injury, it seems to be managing just fine.

After the hyeana and on our way up to Kij Kij these starlings were having a morning conference

One left the meeting

And this black backed jackal was enjoying the sun

And some wildebeest grazing

Thanks for all the comments everyone, they really do make writing these travel tales worthwhile.
For our last evening drive from Rooiputs, no guessing as to in which direction we travelled.
North........ In search of cats at Kij Kij

It wasn’t to be :-)

These wildebeest which were spectacular as the marched in line towards us,
