Anchieta's ridged frog or plain grass frog (Ptychadena anchietae) and Platanna
20200107T012626_5317783.ts.jpg
Note the dorsolateral ridges, very helpful in the identification. The ridges are folds of skin beginning behind the eye and extending part or all of the way to the rear legs on both sides. ;-)
A medium-sized frog (snout-vent length approximately 5 cm) with a pointed nose and a characteristic colour pattern with black mask-like stripes present on the face, dark spots on the flanks and a brown and yellow marbled pattern on the backs of the thighs. Very good at jumping with the extremly long legs!
