Two Days in the Crater.

In early June 2009, I spent 2 nights in Pilanesberg with my Saffie friend J. We arrived early in the afternoon and the fourth sighting after we entered the park was a mating pair of Lions.
But more about those later. We had booked a chalet at Bakgatla and found it very comfortable with meals included in the price which were very tasty and there was plenty of choice.
The first morning we were at the gate waiting impatiently to get in. We headed down to the hide at Ratlogo (I think?) and sat there enjoying the wildlife for quite some time.
Early morning as the sun rose.

Wildebeest, Zebra and Impala at the waterhole.

Drinking Zebra.

Heading to Mankwe Dam, the scenery was impressive.

Wildebeest at Mankwe Dam.

As we drove close to the Dam, a Zebra foal was very confiding.
