Generally, there is no way one can fence off your own extra area for a braai/gathering in the campsite. It uses up even more sites, not paid for!

I also wonder where all the power outlets come from? If extra power connection was laid on for these delightful people, who paid for that?

There was a chance for a bit of grass to grow around the campsite, especially over the late rain period with traditionally lower occupancy out of school holidays Jan-begin April. The permanent tents have put paid to that.

RP,..Most camping sites cannot, were not able to be
pre- booked. Making ad hoc camping even more adventurous!

This silliness has just being removed from the almost holistic
equation!! Sad!!!

You are right when you say campers don't feature highly re. moneymaking...

Ant one knows whats happening at Malelane. Most of the time up to 31 October 2017 between 10 - 15 campsites available, while only 5 campsites available from 1 Nov - 30 April 2018. Seems odd that only 5 sites remaining even in months that is not so popular, while in Sept and Oct (even during schoolholidays) about 11 -15 sites available. On Tuesday, 31 Oct, 14 sites available and then from the Wednesday for 6 months 5 and less sites.

Looks like a new tented camp or new development????
