Plasterer and Masked Bee
Family Colletidae
vs.
Membrane Bee
Megachilidae
or
Sweat Bees and Flower Bees Nomia sp.,

Lasioglossum species
Family Halictidae
OR
...NONE OF THE ABOVE

Have no idea either, but would exlude Halictidae
Colletidae; Subfamily: Hylaeinae perhaps, but that might be totally wrong

or Megachilidae
I am useless with bees

I'll work it (casebearer worms) up with what we have...
Also saw some others that interest me now that I've looked at a Brazilion* pics.
*After giving the president his daily briefing, the Defense Secretary concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."
"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"
His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.
Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazilion?"

The first pic had me thinking it was an insect w/ a pointed snout

, then I realized its head was under the wood plank
Don't the forelegs and triangular head shape in the second pic look like a mantid?

Here are some more grasshopper/crickets to be ID'd for the insect book. All taken in my garden in Randburg.
4. Two of the same insect, note the extremely long antennae.

This is a baby (nymph?) katydid. Can anyone take it further?

I think you are right... a Mantid with the "teeth" on the paw

I never thought of that
