It is difficult to say, okie...look at the financials and see if you can make head or tail? Who knows where the money goes?

But no property tax, water and lights etc...so a dream! O**

You will see nothing my dear friend Okie, only the
income derived from leasing said venue. For profit
and loss of said venture you will need to approach
the franchisee,.. Hahh,,.. so don't be bothered,.

Sanparks too will have audit in place describing total
loss,.. ;-) ;-) O/\

It's a sad state of affairs depicting the uselessness of
a state organ not taking the bull by the horns and
embracing profit taking, presented on a platter!!

Basically that's what it is and does not only occur in
Kruger. These are hap hazard decisions done, undertaken
by folk that also decide on other pressing issues in these
parks!! More responsible issues!!! Think about it.

Why is it so wrong to outsource the restaurants to serious companies?

It seems to me that the restaurants did not work very well when they were in the hands of Sanparks? -O-

The restaurants worked well under SANParks at an earlier stage... ;-)

They did not make much money but ALL money stayed in SANParks and did not leave the Lowveld... O**

The various restaurant chains must pay a kind of rent to Sanparks and this might easily be more than what they earned with the restaurants and this money stays

The extra pricey meals take care of the profit shortfall, don't worry! ;-)

But one day the customers will not have the money anymore... O**

That was not the question! You sustained that the money left the Kruger and the Lowveld and I refuted your objection O**

If it makes more economic sense to rent out the restaurant space than to run the restaurants themselves , why not then just rent out the whole of Kruger to some private enterprise to run as they see fit at a profit ....... 0*\
