After the quick stop we left Skukuza city and went down the H4

An Elie and calf crossed the road so we waited .



There after the young ellie decided he was going to chase the herd of Impala and Kudu around the reeds and bushes while mom just carried on browsing .Was fun to watch but not to good for the buck

The rest of the Herd were browsing in a burned section .



We came across a Nyala searching for some green shoots under a tree .


Crossing the H12 Bridge to the S30 this big fellow was sunbathing .


On the S30 we came across a great Migration and one of the largest herds of Zebra we have seen in Kruger came across to drink water from the river .

We watched them quickly drink then turn around and go back


After they crossed we met this fellow on the hunt for some green shoots .


There was nothing much else to see along the sand road . Crossing the Lower Sabie bridge we found this Goliath Heron:


And some Ellies enjoying the water



We stopped in at Lower Sabie and found it was packed to the rafters with people We think as the picnic spots were still closed everyone was at camp for Lunch . We bought some Wrapps and coffee from M&B and set off to Sunset Dam for lunch ...

That’s one massive crocodile

Plenty of hyena, fantastic leopard sightings, cute to see such young lion cubs and then some doggies to top it off!! Not to mention all the other nice game along the way... sounds like you had a really good trip

You must have done a lot of kilometers, but it seems to have paid off

Theoretically there is/was a small wildebeest and zebra migration from the central district down to the Sabie river every winter, and back up after the first rains...

the plus side of the number of burned blocks was there was less place to hide .

PJL it was very good trip and good luck that we managed to get two nights inside that worked out for me to do a business - holiday trip

I think after the traveling for work to get there we did not notice the distance as much driving in the park . biggest one we have seen .

During the lunch break at Sunset dam we did not see much activity .

The Kingfisher was watching the water by the drain intently while the barn swallow's were actually flying in and out the drain they were either nesting or had a route out to the end of the pipe but they were too quick for us to catch a picture of .


We seem to have taken a artistic picture of some grass with a background of a blurry green back heron fishing


One of the resident Lenny Lizards strolled past .


Some Dagga boys were hanging out on the side of the dam


After lunch we left to drive out to Croc bridge and Komai town for some supplies before going to stay with my sister at Marloth park .
On the way we found a Muster of Storks (thanks google)



We left the park after our brief stay inside and went to Marloth for the night .

Funny to see such a big assembly of storks and herons together

Quite a lot of good sightings for less than three days
