You were correct on this one Toko, as per your usual erudite self

, it's a member of Sarcophagidae...

Now need guidance w/ this one please:
Family Ichneumonidae
Subfamily: Pimplinae
Per HymIS forum, it's a Braconidae.

May have to settle for a Family designation only.

Don't get anywhere, so I'd say you post them just labeled
Braconid Wasp
Family: Braconidae
Flesh Fly
Family: Sarcophagidae
Larrine Square-headed Wasp
Family: Crabronidae. Subfamily Crabroninae: Tribe: Larrini

Hang on a while longer with this one, 2 more options have been suggested as opposed to the first opinion of Sarcophagidae.
1. " I would prefer Billaea (Tachinidae) as an option."
2. "The abdominal pattern resembles Billaea, but the wing venation does not fit Billaea. Moreover, it is South Africa !
To me, it is a Miltogramminae, based on wing venation, head profile (as far as visible) and thoracic pattern. But this is all circumstantial."

Toko, under Wasps, etc. when I posted the Sq.-headed wasp yesterday I didn't post two entries, but this morning one of the pics was seperated into a second post

. I merged that pic into the other entry, but the "X" is not there for me to delete the post

Can you remove it please
Weird.

Black Scavenger Fly
Paratoxapoda sp.
Family Sepsidae

Oct. KTP
What do you wise ones think

Update, this is a wasp acc. to the Diptera.info people...any new suggested IDs based on that

New update

The wasp forum says it's a male ant

Wasp forum might be right, I had a look at lots of wasp families, nothing similar there
My first idea: genus Carebara or similar

You must have been bitten by a mad bug
