Did not see any other cub  there were some youngster ones between them but nearly fully grown already. \O

Nice to see lions moving about, and of course the cub! [Luv]
It was still early morning and a bit colder but I am sure during the heat of the day they were not visible hiding under or behind a bush \O

Cats are cats and so they did want they wanted to do and again stopped right in the middle of the road and so did all the cars

Image

and overall the little cub had to lay down again

Image

Image

and once again we could not believe our luck with that amazing start into the day.

Image

Here most of the lions could be captured altogether although two or three either waited in front

Image

Image

or were still standing on the roadside in the grass.

Image

Image

Now most of the cars already left this sighting and also we were about to carry on as now most members of the pride decided to once again carry on their walk in the grass instead of right on the road and a couple even walked already out of sight.

Image

Image

We also carried on after that thrilling start into the day and on the way to Matjulu we met zebras and for sure could not leave that place without taking a picture

Image

especially in the morning it is so peacefully quiet there with a lone buffalo occupying the waterhole as well as European rollers and

Image

our courting friend from yesterday obviously found a mate

Image

as both looked so cute together it must have been a couple

and after we took enough shots and nothing else was around we heavy hearted left Matjulu and that area but for sure before we finally reached the tar road a couple of landscape shots

Image

Image

were a must.

Image

However, overall it was once again a quiet morning well without the lions and we stopped for a more than nicely posing lilac breasted roller

Image

Image

and so did a magpie shrike along our way

Image

Image

and also that colourful glossy starling had to be photographed as well.

Image

The woodlands again were extreme noisy and finally we also managed to capture one

Image

and also on one of the many bridges we simply had to photograph the view before we carried on

Image

whereas these fellows could not be overlooked as both were sleeping right on the roadside at least one of them

Image

and after already many cars passed them, chose a place to observe them

Image

we also dared to chance our watching place not to block the road or to disturb these gentle giants.

Image

to be continued………….

It definitely did not rain overnight although it can be that the grass or the leaves were still a bit wet :O^
