Beautiful ladies [InLuv]

Didn't Josie struggle with her eye sight anyways? I seem to remember her being suspected to be nearly blind? :-?
Hopefully Duffy & Dawn will keep supporting her catching food. \O
Josie is remarkably good at hunting despite her poor eyesight. She has developed a method of digging warthog out of their holes which serves her very well \O

We took another rapid visit to the park last Saturday and were lucky to see Niklaas & Witwarm near Peasland waterhole. They had been on a zebra kill and although their tummies were big, I think not big enough for an entire zebra, so perhaps they hadn't made the original kill -O-

Unfortunately they weren't hanging around and as we arrived they headed up a hillside and out of view

With the lions departure, the jackals made short work of the remains of the carcass O:V

We also managed to find Josie, Dawn & Duffy as very flat cats on Ngulube loop. Still, we were rather impressed that we found 5 of the 6 lion in Addo within such a short visit \O

I'm expecting lions on the next 10 trips at least Lis =O:
They are indeed big lions. Witwarm (on the left walking up the hill) is the bigger of the two \O

Jack is lion number 6. His sister Jill disappeared over lockdown never to be seen again, so it seems she died somehow :-(
There is some concern about Jack - he is often calling at the fenceline right up in the north. There are other lions on the Nyathi side so it's almost as if he's looking for company, and so it might make him a prime candidate to try and escape... we all saw what happened with the Karoo lions (0!)

Brilliant sighting, Peej! O\/

Very interesting the ridged palate on the zebra skull there, before it wears away! ..0..

I love how the jackals use their paws to stabilise the food while eating. :-0
