Baby gemsbok
Not something we've seen too often
Very much a drought RP. The main dam in the park (Doornhoek) was quite a shock at how low it was

Thank you for the scenery shots although it really looks very barren and dry AND for the squirrel
The gemsbok calves are very pretty.
You must have seen almost all the animals living there

Not many birds there?
Squirrel indeed! We did see quite a lot of birds but a lot of them are small and trying to catch pics of them flitting between bushes is a mission

Those gemsbok youngsters are totally adorable
Juriesdam and Sonnenrust are our preferred 4x4. Juries offered that not to be named sighting,
my first one ever and I love the landscape of Sonnenrust. Kranskop is beautiful too, but there
are stretches where my vertigo sets in and I have to shut my eyes firmly. Luckily, I'm the photographer
not the driver
Interesting... we prefer the Umgeni 4x4 as we've had many good sightings there over the years. Sonnenrust really is a long one and can seem empty for vast periods, whilst we just haven't had a huge amount of sightings luck on Juriesdam

The scenic shots are stunning, PJL,
and again a lot of bokkies - Now I love the gemsbok youngster
Thanks Pumbaa... nice to see the youngsters. Must be the time of year

Great stuff, Peej, and good photo composition as always!
Love the rhino, fox and scenery!
Note the notches in the rhino ear for ID purposes.

What a quality sighting of the blackie
Same goes for the BEFs

, and I love that squirrel as well.
I think, we like Juriesdam because we had an excellent sighting there and Sonnenrust can be all the vast for us as possible -
reminds of of the KTP

Yep all the 'known' rhinos have those for ID purposes. I once came across one in another park which does the same thing with no notches at all which was really exciting. The section ranger was amazed they'd not ever come across him!

Thanks Mel, the vastness is nice I must admit... but sometimes the kids demand more than empty space
