More waterhole action!
So lucky, Pumbaa!
I love also the pic of the 3 in a row!
They look a bit underfed, maybe?
Indeed so lucky - They do not look that underfed but a nice dinner would not have been bad

The middle lion looks blind in the right eye
Yes, she was blind on that eye

Lovely lion sighting!
What month were you in the park?
As Lisbeth already said we are always in February in the park and so far never have been disappointed

“Hello!”
The light was simply brilliant and it got later and later and gladly for us the camp was not far
so with the clock in mind we still stayed and enjoyed the different lionesses who had chosen a favourite spot close to the waterhole.
The sun was about to set and so the place they stayed was a lovely shady spot although it heated up during the day and now it got a bit bearable
as otherwise we would not have stayed that long
but the clock was ticking and we also had to drive back to Satara together with nearly all the other cars
which we still reached in time and although it was a quiet day it was a magnificent one and our braai that evening was again yummy.
Monday, 19 February, 2018 - Satara
Roads we strolled along that day: H1-4 - S100 - S41 - H6 - S100 - S41 - S90 - H1-4 - H7 - S12 - S40 - H7 - H1-4
Today we headed again along the S100 but if ever possible same was even quieter than the day before with only sightings of many wildebeests around Shibotwana
either large or small had fun in some mud puddles - "This is my private spa!"

The little ones were again full of joy
and lust for life that they also infected the larger ones
and started to chase each other. We stayed with them for a long time as the first kilometers were so quiet and we had such a fun in observing them.
The giraffes looked as if they never saw a car ever before
or it was simply still too early for them that day
and that was it already with sightings along the S100 and we found ourselves again at Gudzani dam
which was nearly empty which is indeed a pity as we still had the memories from last year were same was as full as we never saw it before but two years ago same was even much dryer
at least in the distance there was a bit water left and there obviously a yellow billed stork congress was about to take place supervised by a fish eagle in the tree above.
to be continued.......

You are right, Pumbaa, the lionesses are not looking bad off at all. Must have been the angle of the photo

Nice behaviour pics, Pumbaa! I never knew the wildebeest rolled in mud like that!
The dam is also pretty!

Lovely pics of the lionesses!
The S100 can be very quiet sometimes!

I definitely found them not too poor
