Found another pic of the ellie, maybe better!!
Take note of the scar on the ear. Does anyone
recognise this ellie???
Had some great moments birding at Pafuri but
time was up at Punda Maria, dismantled the tent
and took to the road.......

Ever since I read Gus Mills books about the hyenas in KTP
I have the highest respect for their family structures which
is kinda shown in your last pic as well.

We had a tent to pitch,
re-pitch, re-erect,
erectus problamaticus tentus,
then again Hansa pint per post and
problem was solved, only remained one
huge problem!!!

And decided to criss-cross the plains of Africa.
A weird and wonderful feeling, that is to be out
in a far away corner of Africa.
Just standing next to the car, all alone in this
wide open wilderness somehow brings something
to the heart,........

Freedom finally arrived and it seems we in such a hurry
to be first on the road that we actually missed the leopard
crossing the track leading from the gate!!! Ah well,...
We were on the road again,.....criss crossing the plains
of Africa,...
What impressed most was the amount of game we saw,..
