Pumbaa, PJL, Dewi, Flutts, ExFmem, nan, Lis

- thanks for staying on board with this unreliable travel taler here
But I'm determined to finish before we head off to the KTP in two weeks' time, so it's about time to proceed.

Wednesday, 30th March 2016
That morning we were still in charge of our generator, so everything went smoothly for us in the morning and we were able to get out of the camp at a reasonable time.
Mel wrote:Wednesday 30th came but - and I'm sure most of you have already guessed it - not the necessary parts from Bloemfontein... However, the generator was moved away from the house and with that the SO no longer had control over it. Being asked by staff what the operating times should be we told them 5 am to 8 pm.
Not knowing yet what lay ahead of us in regards of our generator drama, we drove up to the Rooiplat Loop in a cheerful mood, wondering what the day would bring.
On the way up there was a car parked watching a pensive RP...

Then another one of those pipits (?) - any ID help appreciated
A not so pretty gnu looking quite nice in the high grass and the purple flowers:
A blesbok posing nicely before shooting off a second later:

Down at the dam on Ubejane Loop an African shelduck:
A yellow-billed duck:
An African black duck:
And a red-billed teal:
... among others that didn't pose so nicely

Further on the Ubejane Loop a rock kestrel:

The only oryx that was close enough for a decent photo:

And the herald of the two favourite sightings of the day:
We chased it up and down, backwards and fowards because it was so close and I wanted to get some nice pix... And in the meantime something else popped out which got me even more excited... But since I'm a nice person, I'll tell you, it won't be anything big in size you can expect here next. Just something cute.
