Fantastic sighting of Makungwe!!! ^Q^ ^Q^ And the doggies!! \O \O

I have to say that apart from once when lions killed a buff right next to the road we have also never had problems on the H4-1. \O

Been a while since I losted posted an update. Been a bit busy with one thing and another......

H12

Elephant
Hippo
Baboon
Impala
Kudu

We turned left onto the H12, and were rewarded with the one of the most fantastic Elephant sightings I have ever had.
There were litterally hundreds of them in the river bed on the left. They were in small groups stretching back as far as the eye could see.

Was this one herd that had spead out to feed? Or a meeting of a few different smaller herds?

We sat on the bridge for well over an hour to watch them. After a while they started coming up the embankment in front of us, crossed the road at the start of the bridge, and then came down the other side to go back into the Sabie reed beds.

Btw, the railings on the bridge had not been repaired after the 2012 floods and this was nearly 12 months later -O-
