What a selection again, Pumbaa! ^Q^

No ice cream?

Interesting that crocodile being so skittish, normally they don't care unless a visitor is on foot? O-/

Grand eagle! X#X

and a cute and very active

Image

white-browed scrub robin – another first for us and No. 6 so far during that trip!

Image

It looked as if same was jumping up and down the branch – We definitely had a great time in photographing that cute fellow.

Image

Image

That area was looking still extreme dry although it must have rained recently as they closed the Mananga trail provisionally. We stopped for waterbucks and for many kudus

Image

and for sure for their great number of hitchhikers,

Image

for a kudu mom

Image

and her gorgeous little one who were hanging around extreme close to the road.

“Yummy!”

Image

We came across a very well positioned brown snake eagle

Image

and Timon took shot after shot.

Image

Soon we found ourselves already on the N’wanetsi picnic spot where we stretched our legs a bit and then we took again the same way we just drove and same was now besides a very busy hyena

Image

totally quiet so we proceeded relatively fast and made another break at Gudzani dam which is always a must for us and whilst scanning the area and the yellow billed storks in the distance in one large puddle Timon yelled: “Leopard!” Originally I thought he was making a joke but far away in the distance of the dry dam I now noticed also a movement and could also see the leopard.

Image

Same was indeed very far away but extreme good visible

Image

as he was walking quite fast and extreme determined through the dam.

Image

He was hardly looking neither right nor left but nearly at the end stopped and took a look back and then he was already gone.

Image

For sure he then hurried into the direction where we supposed the leopard might cross the street but our attempt was in vain as the leopard could not found again and so we had no choice in carrying on as this was anyhow our way we wanted to drive.

to be continued……
