Ai...naughty baboon picking his nose and scratching his butt at the same time...
What a selection again, Pumbaa - very interesting permutations.
I love the tiny waterbuck!

That buffalo looks as if his skin is too tight for his body

I have around 25 pages of TT to catch up here Pumbaa
Life is so busy at the moment, I wrote my entire TT on Sunday

I will definitely catch up this Sunday when I can focus for an hour in peace
I can see your pics are fantastic though as normal

Gladly there was mud around as indeed it was at that stage very dry in the park

Both lions were huge and had full bellies as well

Finally we got such a baboon back riding shot as they are not easy to capture them as I want

Have fun in doing so and no hurry
A bit pity was that the martial sighting was too short for our liking

Needless to say that when water is around elephants are not far and so it was here as well as same cam running from behind the dam and nearly jumped right into the water.
After the elephant settled into the water waterbuck mom and her youngster dared also to come closer to quench their thirst.
Meanwhile also an elephant mom plus a relatively large offspring also appeared from the bush and started to wet themselves and take a drink but they did not dare to take a bath as well so they
walked to another part of the dam and there they repeated what they just did close to the elephant bull but were obviously not in the mood to take a bath.
In the meantime another elephant bull also came running
and finally took a bath together with his mate.
Whilst the elephant bulls were busy in the water a large group of zebras also appeared at the dam to quench their thirst

joined by the elephant mom and her "little" one who were meanwhile busy in doing their bush finish with the mud.
We definitely spent already lot of time at that dam over the years but we never saw it that full of animals here as this year although must say that only few birds were around
as normally when the dam is full same is full of water birds.
The zebras had a lot of youngsters between their rows and we for sure had a fantastic time in photographing same
as moreover we were nearly the only car at that dam but as the zebras were about to disappear whereas the waterbucks already went their way we also decided to carry on.
Although the day started cloudy with even a bit of rain during our drive now it cleared up more and more and the sun came out again as well and put the banana birds into the best light
and with the sun the heat also returned so the rest of our ride along the S36 was quiet but a couple of kudus as well as giraffes were around.
to be continued.....

The first elephant bull has a nice pair of tusks
Nice with so much life around the waterhole

Strange that there were no birds, but having rained earlier.......
