I'm confused :-? What does that post mean in light of this:

"Since the start of 2014, 442 rhinos have been poached in South Africa and 123 suspected poachers arrested. The Kruger National Park has lost 293 rhinos to poachers, with 56 people, including a former ranger and two policemen, being arrested for poaching."

and several other posts here about numbers. -O-

And when they do update their figures there are glaring mistakes. Recently in the NW Province 6 rhino by some miracle were no longer dead when they released figures. The bad news is usually at the end of some long diatribe telling us all what brilliant work they are doing in the field of anti poaching and then at the very end wham bang comes the bad news. By the time they post there have usually been another 10 or more poachings and of course remember that lots of the poachings for whatever reason are not even reported! According to some bright spark on the other forum we must give things a chance and it will take 10 to 15 years to get it all in place. We DO NOT have this time at our disposal!

Regarding Kruger, it would seem that, at almost the half way stage of the year, fewer arrests have been made, and more rhino poached... :-?

Fewer arrest are made against the poached numbers every year RP.
It is a downward spiral and the spindocters still say the war is going their way.

\O Yip, the ratio of arrests versus the numbers poached doesn’t look good O/

lovely spot, H.! \O

The latest crap is that the annual Kruger rhino sales, 300+ depending on the year, is now justified as an emergency to spread the load to other countries.

These rhino captures are part of SP's annual budget, yet use up vet and helicopter time.

Also, it screws up the family structures even more, delaying breeding, IMO!
